Two reviews back-to-back! Are you as excited as I am?! If you read my December Favorites, you know I picked up the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation, and (obviously) have been loving it.
The shade I purchased is R230 Ivory, which was 115 in the old numbering system. It's a tad bit light for me, but was really the only "light" option in the R family. Of course, once I add the rest of my face makeup, it evens out nicely. This foundation is supposed to make you look flawless under 4k video, photography, and to the naked eye, all while being completely invisible. It's a medium to full coverage foundation, that is supposed to melt into the skin, create a radiant finish, and is "formulated with hyaluronic spheres for time-released hydration that is perfect for normal to dry skin".
(Excuse the chipped polish)
You get .44 oz of product with the stick foundation, as opposed to 1.01 oz in the liquid form, and both retail for $43 USD. As you can see, the stick comes with two caps: the small clear piece and the main black cap. You'll want to keep the smaller cap to use under the large cap to prevent the cream from drying out. When I first applied this foundation, I worried that it was going to accentuate any large pores or settle into fine lines. I noticed when I "drew" this onto my face, it sat on the skin, slightly skipping all of my pores. The result was it highlighted every one of them.
I think you can see what I mean about that in the above photo. However, once you blend it in, it sinks in beautifully and doesn't exaggerate anything I'd rather hide. This has been my most used foundation since I got it and I have to force myself to use others in my collection. Although I haven't tested the claims of looking amazing on 4k video, I can say it looks flawless in photos. I can look back at my photos and tell in which ones I'm wearing this foundation. As I've mentioned before, I have dry/dehydrated skin, and this does provide the promised "radiant" or "luminous" finish. I like to set my foundations with a little bit of powder so that all of my other powder products blend easier, but I have used this foundation without powder to fully test it out. Without powder, the MUFE HD Stick continues to get more and more dewy throughout the day. With powder, it will still get dewy, but not nearly as much. I personally don't like for my forehead to look greasy, so I do use a lightweight powder in the T-zone. Despite the fact that it continues to get more luminous throughout the day, it doesn't break up on my skin or wear off. It still looks as beautiful at the end of the day as it did when I first applied it. For reference, I apply my makeup at 6am and it is almost 7pm by the time I come home. MUFE HD does not oxidize on my skin (which would actually be helpful with this color. Ha.)
I personally love how this foundation looks, and the ease of application. I can draw it on like a giant crayon and blend it with a brush or Beauty Blender in a minimum amount of time. Extremely helpful on those rushed mornings!
If you have oily skin, you may not enjoy this as much, even when set with powder. Sephora does have a wonderful return policy if you try it and decide you don't like it, though!
Thanks for stopping by and reading! If you've tried it, I'd love to know what you think!!
